Built in Hubballi, for the way India actually trades.
India's retail trade still runs on WhatsApp forwards, Excel sheets and the red diary. We're a small team building the system that replaces the pile — without disturbing what already works about Indian trade: relationships, credit, and the khata.
It started with watching, not pitching.
Spend a week inside any distribution business and you see the same picture: a sharp operator running lakhs of rupees of daily trade across tools that were never meant for it. Orders in chat threads. Stock in spreadsheets that disagree with the godown. Credit tracked in a diary that lives in one person's head.
None of it is carelessness. It's what happens when the software industry builds for boardrooms and leaves the mandi to fend for itself. Legacy ERPs want six months and a consultant; the diary wants nothing at all. Everyone picks the diary.
RetailXpress is our answer: one connected ledger for the distributor and the shops they supply. Orders, invoices with their IRN, batch stock, credit, and real double-entry books — the whole order-to-cash workflow, built so a 40-retailer distributor in tier-3 India runs the same product as a 4,000-retailer operation in Mumbai.
Three products, one ledger underneath.
Distributor console
Purchases, sales, batch inventory, credit, GST e-invoicing and double-entry books — one web console instead of a patchwork of tools.
Retailer app
An installable web app: counter billing with GST, batch stock, receivables and dues — plus real-time ordering from connected distributors.
The ordering bridge
The live link between the two. Catalogue, prices and offers flow one way; orders, payments and ledger entries flow back.
Four rules we keep coming back to.
Built where it's used
We build from Hubballi, not translate from Silicon Valley. GST, schemes, credit and the khata are the starting point — not localisation tickets.
Respect the workflow
Indian trade runs on relationships and credit. We digitise the record, not the relationship — the software adapts to the trade, never the reverse.
Ship small, ship weekly
Customer-requested fixes go out in days, not quarters. Zero-downtime deploys, because shops bill through our uptime.
One product for everyone
No bronze, silver or gold tiers. The smallest distributor gets exactly the product the largest one runs.
One office, chai included.
We work from Hubballi, Karnataka — closer to the trade we build for than to any startup corridor. If you're nearby, come over: bring your SKU list and we'll walk your workflow on a whiteboard.
